Summary of Ch5:
This chapter introduces the structure, function, way to create and example studies of usage stories. Usage stories are composed of seven parts, they are exposition, inciting incident, rising action, crisis, climax resolution, falling action, and end. Each of them represents a phase of the user experience journey.
Top 3 Three Take Away:
-When we are mapping a journey, we need to think of what contents need to be digital so that they can better support the story.
-The most effective story-driven core task interaction is core task that are central to the product and the service.
-Data tells a story.
Something I may use next time:
-Cover a longer period of time in the journey mapping to get more insights.
Summary of Ch6:
This chapter introduces how to map stories in details. Listen, smile rate test, measuring, case studies, launching 'what if' questions, and borrowing resources are very critical for story mapping.
Top 3 Three Take Away:
-Look for cliffhanger in the data to find out a hidden story.
-Use smile test to capture the changes in user's emotion.
-Find patterns and gaps to improve your story.
Something I may use next time:
-Look for cliffhangers in data.
