Project 2 Concept Story

In this project, I am going to create concept stories for digital products. And the three digital products I choose are:

Figma, Adobe Photoshop, & Google tools.

Figma: Figma is a vector graphics editor and prototyping tool which is primarily web-based, with additional offline features enabled by desktop applications for macOS and Windows.

Adobe Photoshop: Photoshop is Adobe's photo editing, image creation and graphic design software. The software provides many image editing features for raster (pixel-based) images as well as vector graphics. It uses a layer-based editing system that enables image creation and altering with multiple overlays that support transparency.

Google tools: Various free tools for marketers, developers, and other professionals to help them deliver the best results in their respective fields.

The reason why I would these products is because I want to understand why majority of the IXD students choose to use these apps to do their assignments.

Reflection:

Something I learned from this exercise is that we can always think of why a product is so popular from a user's angle. When I was confused about how a product fulfilled a customer's goal, I would try to imagine that I am the person in the persona and imagine how that product is making my life more convenient. And I think we should always try to think in this way when we are studying a product. If we want to study the product further, we can try to interview the actual users of the product.

Something I think that I should do better next time is to make the stories more diverse. I couldn't jump out of the concept story arc guide and I really ran out of ideas to make these three stories intricate. I need to study some successful concept stories, get ideas and inspirations from them and make my stories more interesting .
